Zu Bin Attends the Opening of “Luminous Brilliance: The Artistry of ZIBO Liuli” at the Poly MGM Museum and Visits Projects in Hengqin and Macao
On October 15, the opening ceremony of “Luminous Brilliance: The Artistry of ZIBO Liuli,” jointly presented by the Poly MGM Museum with the National Museum of China and the Zibo Ceramic and Glass Museum, was held in Macao.

In his address, Mr. Zu Bin, Chairman of Poly Group, said that by building the Poly MGM Museum together with MGM, Poly has tapped the spirit at the heart of Silk Road civilization — “peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit” — making a profound history and culture tangible, intelligible and accessible. This exhibition is both another fruitful outcome of the deepened strategic cooperation between Poly and MGM, and a vivid practice of the Poly MGM Museum in advancing the creative transformation and innovative development of intangible cultural heritage. Going forward, Poly will continue to create world-class exhibitions that demonstrate cultural confidence, and bring fine traditional Chinese culture into modern life, into the public eye and onto the world stage.

The exhibition brings together nearly 180 precious liuli works, ancient and contemporary — from the Warring States “Dragonfly-Eye” Glass Beads and the Qing Dynasty Imperial White-ground Glass Vase with Red Overlay, Lotus Scrolls and Fuqing (Blessing and Celebration) Motif to the contemporary reinterpretation of the “liuli phoenix crown” — linking the craftsmanship and cultural meaning of different eras and presenting the more than three-thousand-year development of Chinese liuli from multiple dimensions. Technology empowers the narrative: large-scale LED multimedia presentations and Poly’s patented OLED interactive displays bring to life the historical stories and craft details behind the exhibits, while interactive experiences such as a virtual try-on of the phoenix crown let visitors feel the contemporary appeal of this traditional art.

While in Macao, Zu Bin attended the opening ceremony of the 12th Global Tourism Economy Forum and exchanged views with guests from various countries on new trends in the tourism industry. In Hengqin, Zu Bin and his delegation visited the “Shaanxi Shines: Cultural Relics Illuminating Chinese Civilization” relics exhibition co-organized by Poly Culture, and the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone Planning Exhibition Hall, whose service support is provided by Poly Property Services under Poly Developments. He inspected venue operation and maintenance, the layout of the exhibitions and the supporting services, and gained an in-depth understanding of the progress in the planning and construction of the Cooperation Zone and the results of the deep cooperation between Guangdong and Macao.
